GET PAID TO OWN

42 U.S. Code § 1437r - Public housing resident management

In New York, NYCHA manages homes, and until now, tenants haven't had ownership. But, it doesn't have to stay that way. The law, 42 US Code, Chapter 8, Subchapter I, § 1437, lets people in NYCHA become owners. Fed up with renting and not building equity? Join the movement and take charge of your own home!

Community Leaders' Call for Ownership:

  • Through home ownership, community leaders are incentivized to take charge and make necessary improvements in the neighborhood.

  • It provides an opportunity to save significant resources, contributing to the financial well-being of the community.

  • By building equity, leaders can enhance the overall prosperity and stability of the entire community.
